Black Tourmaline (schorl) is a boron silicate (NaFe³⁺₃Al₆(BO₃)₃Si₆O₁₈(OH)₄, Mohs hardness 7–7.5), opaque black, one of the most common tourmaline varieties. Major sources include Brazil and Africa. Our tourmaline is natural and untreated.
How people keep it
Black tourmaline is commonly associated with protection and a grounded, steady feeling — many keep it as a daily anchor in busy or high-stimulus environments. It is often linked to the Root Chakra and used for protection-and-ground intentions.
Origin & care
Natural rough from verifiable mines, hand-finished in our Donghai/Ketang workshops. Tourmaline is durable but can cleave on sharp impact — clean with lukewarm water, dry softly, store apart from harder stones.
