About this stone

Black Obsidian is natural volcanic glass (amorphous SiO₂, not a crystalline mineral), Mohs hardness 5–5.5. It forms when lava cools too fast for crystals to grow. Major sources include Mexico, Guatemala, and Iceland. No dye or treatment is applied to our obsidian — its depth comes from the stone itself.

Sourced from verifiable volcanic-material suppliers and finished in our Donghai/Ketang workshops. Obsidian is glass-like and can chip if dropped — handle with care, avoid hard impacts, and wipe with a soft dry cloth.
